Oil prices rose this morning, due to the halt in oil and gas production due to a hurricane in the United States of America, as the price of crude oil increased by approximately 1.5%, reaching 41.13 dollars per barrel, while the price of Brent crude reached 38.96 Dollars per barrel, after rising by 1.8%. The two crude oil prices reached the largest increase on Tuesday, after exceeding 2%.
Also, gold futures contracts for December delivery (September) increased by 0.09%, and as such, they were traded at a price of 1967.9 per ounce. Futures contracts were previously traded on a high session at 1968.15 an ounce, and gold is expected to find support points, down at 1944.00, and resistance points at $ 1982.40.
The silver futures contract for December delivery increased by 0.06%, to be traded at a price of $ 27,448 an ounce.
In conclusion, Japanese stocks rose amid expectations of strengthen FOMC decision : to keep interest rates low.
As the Nikkei index rose by 0.09% to 23475.23 points, while the broader Topix index rose by 0.21% to reach 1644.35 points.
